In this Year of Faith, may we consider....

Whatever we do today to celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints does not add anything to the honor and praise of God's saints. The saints are already in perfect joy, in perfect peace, in perfect glory with God who, by His mercy, has made them holy.

But whatever we do today to celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints can help us who are yet struggling our way to heaven. Not only from the intercession of the saints should we benefit in
celebrating their feast today. Rather, may we be so inspired by their heroic witness to Jesus that we, too, never grow weary of proclaiming Jesus in and through our lives.

May today's solemnity remind and convince us even more that, always by the gratuitous gift of God's mercy, sanctity is within our reach. Yes, it may be quite difficult many a time, but holiness is indeed possible for us, sinners. For, as we have been created in the image and likeness of God, we are destined to be saints together - living with Him forever in heaven someday.
